Welcome to our new webinar series, Beyond Carbon, where we widen the perspective from greenhouse gas emissions to a broader set of environmental and social impacts.

Have you noticed that the climate crisis tends to overshadow other critical issues? A life cycle perspective is meant to combat burden shifting. Still, the focus in life cycle assessments largely remains on carbon.

The Beyond Carbon webinar series offers an opportunity for LCA practitioners and researchers to get updated on five selected topics: toxicity, biodiversity, microplastics, mineral resources, and social impacts. Which methods exist? Which policies are urging for more focus? Which questions can be answered, and which product types can best be assessed?

Each webinar contains a 30-minute presentation by an expert researcher within the field, followed by 30 minutes of Q&A and discussions where you get to explore what the topic means in practice.
