Seminar: Latest news about Environmental footprint

Date:Thursday, 01 January, 1970 Time:00:00 - 00:00

IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and Swedish Life Cycle Center, through the project Swedish platform for the life cycle perspective, invites you to a breakfast seminar with the latest news about the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) process in the EU. For you who work in industry, research institutes, academia or government agencies or have an interest in product and environmental issues this is a seminar where you will get an overview of the process. No knowledge of PEF is required for participation.

PEF is the European Commission’s initiative to calculate products’ environmental performance from a life cycle perspective. Since 2013, a pilot phase has been conducted in which the methodology has been tested on approximately 25 different product groups and then further has been developed. In April this year, the final conference of the pilot phase will be held in Brussels, and then a transition phase will be established, which will determine how the method can be used in policy and instruments (from 2022 onward).

Deadline for registration to the breakfast seminar is May 15. Seats are limited.

Breakfast will be served from 7:45

The seminar is organized by IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and Swedish Life Cycle Center, through the project Swedish platform for the life cycle perspective, funded by the Swedish Energy Agency.
