Webinar: Biobased building materials

Date:Tuesday, 26 September, 2017 Time:15:00 - 16:00

Biobased building materials and its role in the climate impacts of construction.

Content

Increased use of biobased materials is part of the climate impact mitigation strategy in many sectors, including construction. However, the use of LCA and other tools to assess the effects of such strategy is often clouded by complexities related to the origin of most biobased materials; the forest. During this webinar, Diego Peñaloza will present the results from his PhD thesis. What are the climate effects of increasing the use of biobased materials in the Swedish construction sector? What methodological aspects are important and what difference can they make?
