Welcome to our next strategic business intelligence meeting. Our strategic business intelligence meetings bring together key stakeholders to explore emerging trends, monitor developments, and share insights relating to the life cycle perspective. The purpose of these meetings is to advance life cycle thinking and support researchers and practitioners in the field through information sharing and enhanced collaboration.
Our next guests are Karin de Val and Siri Willskytt from Volvo Group. Their presentation will cover Volvo Groups’ journey with LCA work since the 1990´ until today. The focal point of the talk is on how LCA has an integrated role in product development, as a tool to both enable follow-up and track how we are performing in accordance with our sustainability targets. But also, as a tool to guide and provide directions regarding which choice we should take during the development, and to generate forecasts of the consequences from those decisions of our products in the future. Lastly, the talk shares in sights of how we have tackled the increasing demand of LCA by improving our own LCA processes through different optimizations.
