Welcome to this webinar that will give you insight on the work done in the working group “LCA, climate and buildings”.
Get updated about the ongoing Nordic harmonization process of building regulations concerning climate emissions from the Nordic building authorities and get an overview of the what has been up for discussion in the working group and what is on the agenda moving forward. To give you the broader perspective we have also invited representatives from academy and industry to share ongoing projects and the latest research.
Among others you will be able to listen to Kristina Einarsson from the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning who has been chair of the working group. She will present the program for the working group and what has been up for discussion so far. Matti Kuittinen from Ministry of the Environment in Finland will give a presentation from the authority point of view and show state of the art when it comes to regulations in the Nordic countries. Harpa Birgisdottir from Aalborg university and Marianne Wiik from SINTEF will present results from two different studies done with a similar goal; to find reference values for climate and buildings from a life cycle perspective.
There will be time for questions and discussion in the end of the webinar.
About the group:
The purpose of the working group LCA, climate and buildings is to give input to Nordic harmonization of life cycle assessment of climate emissions buildings with the aim to reduce the building sector’s climate emissions. The aim of the working group is also to work for Nordic collaboration on issues related to mainstreaming LCA methods, their practical application and normative development of climate impacts of buildings. This is done by bringing together key actors from the Nordic construction industry and academia together with the building authorities.
