Project wrap up – monetary valuation

Tuesday, 19 June, 2018

Swedish Life Cycle Center has, through the development of the EPS-method and a number of projects, been discussing monetarization for several years. The center has initiated and contributed to the development of the new ISO standard 14008 and is currently wrapping up a research project in the field.

For anyone interested in monetary valuation of environmental impacts, the final report from the project “Development of methodology to communicate environmental damage cost data” will be released in July.  The project team has performed three case studies of energy choices with sensitivity analysis to determine which parameters are most important. The group has also developed a survey to study how metadata should be communicated and presented. The results will be an important contribution to the development of ISO 14008.

On the photo above, the project team is gathered, except for Klas Hallberg who was not able to join the photo shooting.
